Cibyl Lane is working toward an Associate of Science degree in graphic design and web design. She will graduate in Spring 2017. It will be the second degree she has earned from TCC. She graduated from TCC with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from FSU in 2000.
Cibyl produced the design that is printed on this year’s Talent@TCC shirts.
“My inspiration for the T-shirt design was to encompass all areas of art and literature in a gender neutral design. To promote the event by using images to represent the art and literature world,” Cibyl said. “The background creates a canvas of color, inspiration, & creativity for all arts that are not so black and white. The microphone is the focal point for this occasion. It implies the ability to speak out, to be heard. The piano represents the infinite sound of music. The mask of comedy & tragedy is a well know icon for the combination of art and literature and the life it brings to the world.”
Why did you choose TCC? I chose TCC to continue my education based on geographic location, its reputation of excellent academic standards & technology. The affordability, the beautiful campus and (very) qualified professors.
Career goals: To become the Creative Director/Graphic Designer for a local and web based advertising and marketing firm. I strive to be successful in showcasing my personal artwork in as many venues as possible and be profitable! Make lots of $$$!
My hobbies: I love the ocean and all things included. I go to the beach often to “shell shop.” I walk the beach collecting a vast variety of treasures the tides wash ashore. I make nautical decorations, which are sold online and in local retail stores.
